Rohingya families in Arakan

Rohingya Families in Arakan Face a Deepening Humanitarian Crisis

The humanitarian situation for Rohingya communities in Arakan, Myanmar, remains deeply concerning as conflict and insecurity continue. Many Rohingya families have been displaced from their homes, while those who remain face severe restrictions on movement and limited access to essential services.

UNHCR reports that in conflict-affected Rakhine State, humanitarian access is restricted and displaced communities are struggling to obtain food, clean water and healthcare.

For Rohingya communities, the crisis is not only about displacement. UNHCR has reported continuing protection concerns, restrictions on movement, limited access to healthcare and education, and risks linked to forced labour and recruitment. The prolonged conflict has also reduced livelihood opportunities and made it increasingly difficult for families to meet their basic needs.

The needs in Arakan are urgent, but humanitarian assistance remains difficult to deliver because of insecurity, restricted access and limited resources. Rohingya families need food, healthcare, education, safe shelter, livelihoods and protection. Suprabhat stands in solidarity with Rohingya communities in Arakan and calls for continued humanitarian support for people affected by the crisis.

Support the Rohingya people in Arakan and help keep their lives, dignity and hope alive.

Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh Face a Prolonged Humanitarian Crisis

Nearly a decade after the mass displacement of 2017, more than one million Rohingya refugees remain in Bangladesh, most living in the camps of Cox’s Bazar. Many families continue to depend on humanitarian assistance for food, clean water, shelter, healthcare, and protection.

The crowded camp environment and exposure to cyclones, floods, landslides, and fires continue to create serious challenges for daily life.

The crisis is not only about basic needs. Rohingya children and young people need continued access to education and opportunities to build their futures. Women, children, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups also require protection and essential services. At the same time, declining humanitarian funding is putting pressure on services that refugees rely on. In 2026, UNHCR and humanitarian partners warned that growing needs are being met with increasingly limited resources.

The Rohingya people in Bangladesh need continued humanitarian support, education, healthcare, protection, skills development, and opportunities to live with dignity while they await safe, voluntary, and sustainable conditions for return. Suprabhat stands with Rohingya refugees and calls for continued support for families who have spent years away from their homes.

Support the Rohingya people in Bangladesh and help keep their lives, dignity, and hope alive.
